The teacher will instruct the students to learn the

order in which math problems need to be
completed to find the correct problem solution. By
remembering P E M D A S, or by remembering the
first letters of the words, Please Excuse My Dear
Aunt Sue, they can recall the order of operations to
solve the math problem. P-Do what is in the
parenthesis first, E- Do Exponents, M- Do
multiplication (left to right} D-Do division (left to
right), A- Do addition (left to right), S-Do subtraction
(left to right). The answer is?
