Dear Kirsten Krug,
It is my pleasure to write a letter of recommendation for Ashley Dunn to be considered to work in
the Department of Administration for the Kansas City Chiefs. I served in the capacity of
Graduate Teaching Assistant for Ashleys Introduction to Public Speaking course, at first. This
letter of recommendation is confidential and is submitted at the request of Ashley.
Many students are required to take Introduction to Public Speaking. As one can imagine, it is
not always enjoyable to give a speech in front of total strangers. Ashley started the semester in
my office as a stranger would needed help fine tuning her speech. It was just the first of many
office visit. We spent an extensive amount of time on her informational speech that semester. I
thought I had her speech memorized but her actual speech was shock to me when it all came
together for the presentation. When Ashley says she has developed communication skills and
is organized, she means it. She took an unusual topic and made it relatable to everyone in the
room and set the whole speech to music. It was one of best speeches I have seen come out of
Introduction to Public Speaking classes in years. I had Ashley in class the first semester her
freshman year. She has continued to pop into my office for more speech advising and help with
navigating the University.
I am excited to see Ashley pursuing what she has always set out to do and still get to use her
presentation skills. The Communication Studies Department and I would love to have her a
graduate student and teach the class I met her in. If you have additional questions, dont
