App evaluation

The app I chose is XtraMath. XtraMath is an application

designed to help kids quickly learn their math facts. The
application has addition, subtraction, multiplication, and
division. It is timed based on 10 seconds. Some pros of this
application are that it gives feedback directly to the parent or
teacher using the app. It is a positive app for kids to use and
for them to learn their math facts quickly. It also gives the
kids a feeling of accomplishment when they complete a
section. Every time a student finishes a section there is a
printable certificate for the parent or teacher to give to the
student. The downfall of this app is the time limit in my
opinion. The time limit is very short and can be hard for
slower kids to follow. It also is hard for students who have a
hard time concentrating and staying on task. We use this
app in the school I work at now and it has been affective so

far this year. I could see me using this app in my classroom

has a break from math assignments and to help
students who struggle learning their math facts. I do not see
myself using this app all the time.
