The diagnosis of leprosy is a VERY SERIOUS matter for the individual and the family
If in SLIGHTEST DOUBT avoid making a diagnosis and categorize the individual as SUSPECT
Inform the individual to REPORT BACK after 6 MONTHS or if there is worsening of the signs and
symptoms
The patient may be referred to other specialist as appropriate, to establish the correct diagnosis.
