1800's & 1900's Americans and Immigrants way of life
1.

Everyone was young at one point and time. Childhood was not easy for children in the
eighteen hundreds and nineteen hundred's. Those days the children as early as 6 years old
was working because they did not have a choice. Children in this generation are so
spoiled that some of them do not have to work. Their parents have good paying jobs and
their children don't have to worry about paying for school and their room and board for
college because their parents pays for them to go to college.

2.

Education in the 1800's was different in a way where the teachers had no degree to
teach. They just teach the children what they now. There were one room school house
with one teacher to teach kids of all ages. By living far from school kids back then would
walk to school. The school was also used on Sunday for church since they did not have
very many buildings. In the 1900's is when the united states started building more school,
business, and transportation. That created more opportunity for women to attend college
and get a degree.

3.

Men, women, and children in the 1800's would work in mills and on farms. More
women and children were hired more then men because they would pay them less then

they would pay men. The reason was the wages were extremely low. Immigrants started
to travel to America in the late eighteen hundreds and early nineteen hundreds on boats to
seek freedom, work, money and food. The u.s. was on the rise so there where more jobs
and the immigrants seen their opportunity to seek work and: also they get less pay than
Americans so they can send money back home to their families thats still back at home
so they can survive.
4.

The living arrangements in the eighteen hundreds were simple to where in their case
their were no electricity they used oil lamps. Their homes were far apart and population
was very small. The other difference was people back then getting there water from a
drinking well. They did not have to worry about paying bills so every thing they had they
either made by hand or brought for less price than what we pay now. The only thing they
had then that we have was radio. Things started to become on the up rise in the early
1900's more houses, highways, and business were being built

5.

Life and economy has changed in so many ways. People from all different countries
are fleeing from where they were born and raised to come to America because their own
people where killing each other. Their young daughters getting married at an early age,
and their sons are turning to violence to learn how to use weapons. The u.s is a little
similar to other countries in a way. We just dont let our children get married at a young
age. One thing about 21 st century in the united states is that it gets crowded everyday, and
crime is on the rise. That will never change for the better.
