Community Montessori School Highlights Diversity and Culture
Indianapolis Community Montessori School is hosting their first
annual Circle of Culture event. This event will take place on (date)
at (time). This event brings to life the diversity within CMS and the
Indianapolis community as a whole.
The main focus of the event the food and the culture that is
represented in the school. Parents will bring several dishes from
their native culture that represents their heritage. The event will
also consist of games and prizes throughout the night that the
children created and developed.
Diversity is key message in the Montessori teaching. Beginning
their first day, children are immersed in array of cultures that give
them knowledge of the world around them. Carrie Wisser, leader of
the Mongolia room, states that diversity is not only a huge aspect
of CMS, but our culture as a whole.
Community Montessori School: Inspiring a life-long love of learning
in children by allowing them to develop at their own pace in an
authentic AMI Montessori environment that embraces diversity,
individuality, and community.
