Alter your discussion, you will be expected to record your responses on a piece of chart paper or poster board. Saoudit was only five years old when a 7.0 magnitude earthquake struck Haiti in 2010. She lives in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haity, but her home was destroyed in the earthquake. Like aver 300,000 other Haitians, she now lives in a camp for internally displaced people. The camp is called Place de La Paix and was built on the site of 2 soccer field not long after the earthquake hit. She tives with her family in small "house" made of sticks and tarp. She, fike many other girls her age, spends a good part of her day fetching clean water for her family. Saoudit is unable to attend school because of her water collecting duties and because her family cannot pay the fees to send her to the school in the camp.
