I am extremely pleased to recommend Mayra Cruz Gonzalez. I have known Mayra for nearly four
years, and during that time I have found her to be a good student and an excellent citizen. I know
Mayra to be, in general, an extremely capable young individual who will certainly accomplish her
goals. I am also confident that Mayra will achieve at a very high academic level in her college
career. Mayra is exceedingly bright and highly motivated to succeed.

Mayra has been taking A-G courses and has maintained a 3.3 grade point average
overall. Moreover, Mayra volunteers her time working with struggling students as an academic
mentor. It is also noteworthy that Mayra has had good attendance throughout her school career,
illustrating her commitment to education. This year Mayra felt like she needed to contribute more
to the school now that she is a senior. Mayra became part of our school leadership program at El
Capitan High school and has been a valuable part of creating a fun and positive school environment.
Finally, I know that Mayra is anxious to continue her education beyond high school. Mayra shared
with me that she is planning on majoring in the medical field and becoming a registered nurse.

As important is her outstanding character. Mayra is very mature, and her maturity is evident in her
ability to assume the greater part of the responsibility for planning her education, establishing her
goals, and preparing for college. It is also evident that Mayra is well liked by her peers. Moreover,
Mayra is highly respected by her teachers both for her abilities and for her spirit of cooperation
with others. In addition, Mayra has excellent manners and is courteous to everyone. It is easy to
see why people enjoy her company. It is clear that Mayra was raised in a family that values honesty,
hard work, commitment to personal improvement, and personal responsibility.
Mayra is truly a fine young individual. She is dedicated to learning and works very hard to
accomplish her goals, both academic and personal. I feel strongly that Mayra is deeply deserving of
any help that may be offered. Therefore, I am very pleased to recommend Mayra Cruz Gonzalez.
