Hyperreal - models of a real without origin or reality


- the product of an irradiating synthesis of combinatory models in a
hyperspace without atmosphere
Difference - this forms the poetry of the map and the charm of the territory, the magic of
the concept and the charm of the real
Genetic Miniaturisation - is the dimension of simulation
Dissimulate - to feign not to have what one has
Simulate - to feign to have what one hasnt
Simulation threatens the difference between true and false, between real and imaginary.
Psychosomatic - illness derived from psychological factors such as stress
Truth, reference and objective causes have ceased to exist.
I forbade any simulacrum in the temples because the divinity that breathes life into
nature cannot be represented.
Iconoclasts - they are often accused of despising and denying images, were in fact that
ones who accorded them their actual worth
Iconolaters - who saw images in only reflections and were content to venerate GOs at
one remove
- they possess the most modern and adventurous minds
Representation: The sign and the real are equivalent
Successive phases of images:
1. Reflection of a basic reality = sacrament
2. Masks and perverts a basic reality = malefice
3. Masks the absence of a basic reality = sorcery

4. No relation to any reality = simulation
