I wanted to create a collage art piece for my second genre for reasons

similar to that of making the pamphlet: to simplify my argument to broaden

my audience. I avoided making this art piece in an abstract orientation to so
I could eliminate most of the threat of further confusion. In other words, I
tried to shape the message in the most literal sense possible. I had The
Doors suspended in the air on a rain cloud, while focusing on the dull/sad
color scheme of greys and blacks: members face cut outs are black and
white, their outfits are black and white, the rain drops falling onto the
audience/people bellow are grey. Then, I included some of the key concepts I
discussed in my argument as part of what rains down on the audience below,
including Friedrich Nietzsche and a book, and scattered letters spelling
Nihilism and Existentialism. This is intended to display the dark/unhappy
content most of the bands music contains (unhappiness aided by the
raincloud, content shown through raindrops). On the other half of the
canvas is the Woodstock stage in the distance. I wanted to emphasize the
juxtaposition of The Doors and the Woodstocks in terms of message by
using completely different colors. For instance, instead of grey raindrops
coming down making a gloomy scene, I used bright rainbows of colors
projecting from the Woodstock stage to capture the blissful elated nature of
this band categorys content (while including names of numerous bands I put
in this category while writing Project 2). I felt this visual breakdown of my
Project 2 would open the door to include a younger audience, as they can
comprehend the distinct difference between the groups without needing to
have a technical comprehension of Nihilism/Existentialism.
