This license manager must be used in conjunction with a license key file (licens

e.txt)
and
- a USB port lock, or
- a parallel port lock, or
- a serial port lock,
which are obtained separately from the HVDC Centre.
An HVDC License Manager must be installed and running ON ONLY ONE MACHINE ON YOU
R NETWORK
(not on each machine!). Do not install the Licence Manager unless required.
The \Windows (or \Winnt) directory contains a file called lmgrd.ini.
This file can be edited:
- To limit the class of IP addresses which can obtain licenses from this Licen
ce Manager,
- To change the port on which the USB, parallel, or serial port lock device is
attached.

- go to the Services Control Panel, and start the service.
- Windows 95/98/ME: The Licence Manager can start automatically via registry ent
