SHORT BIO ASSIGNMENT 1
Maxine Aviles is a junior communication major at William Paterson University. When Aviles
graduates in December 2017, she plans a career in cosmetic public relations.
As a communication major, Aviless curriculum included classes in public speaking and media
writing. She received hands on experience in her journalism class, where she was able to write
three articles for her school newspaper Visions, at Passaic County Community College. Aviles
will intern at a cosmetic public relations firm in the summer.
At William Paterson University, Aviles excelled academically, and became a member of the Tau
Sigma, national honor society due to her academic achievements throughout the school year. She
also earned a place on the deans List in the College of the Arts and Communication for the
spring 2016 semester.
Additionally, Aviles works at a law firm, Corradino and Papa, as a receptionist to contribute to
her tuition. She enjoys singing and the performing arts.
