Medication Summary
No drug therapy is proven or recommended for colonic polyps. More studies are required to assess
the potential use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in order to elucidate their
mechanism of action in causing colonic polyp regression and to determine why they do not appear to
prevent cancer development.
