Re: Chelsea Ellerson

Chelsea Ellerson was a student in my English 3 American Literature class at Richland

Northeast High School. During her 11th grade year in English, she demonstrated a joy
for learning and was always eager to share her perspectives and question others
perspectives during class discussions. Chelsea worked hard on her writing, asked
questions when needed and, as a result, demonstrated growth in her analytical writing
skills.
She is a military child who has managed to remain focused on her studies despite the
change in schools following her 10th grade year. Some students lose focus when
changing states and schools, but Chelsea has maintained a 3.7 GPA and is in the top 15%
of her graduating class. She is a well-rounded student who has found her niche as a
cheerleader and as a chairperson for H.O.P.E., one of our schools major community
service organizations. She is a member of FBLA, The National Society of High School
Scholars program, a volunteer for the American Red Cross as well as a school
ambassador. Additionally, Chelsea works a part-time job at Champs Sports and has
held a part-time job during both her junior and senior years of high school.
This young lady has a clear vision and a strong work ethic. She is making the proper
steps to follow through on her goals to become an Accountant. Please consider her for
acceptance to your fine institution.

Sincerely,

Margot S. Jeffers, English teacher
