I learned how to put text into a picture.

That might sound easy, but gimp found a way to

make such a task infinitely more complex than it needed to be. Not only did it take 7
minutes to get done something that should have only taken 7 seconds, but it also took
forever just to get the right font. Other than that I also learned that its incredibly hard to
find the right picture to put text onto.
What inspired me was the book 1984, I was reminded of it by this schools
oppressive architecture. It does not help to know that this place was designed by a
prison architect. I used a picture from the Aaron Siskin project and superimposed my
favorite quote from that book into the picture. This made me very happy.
I am an artist because I can express with words just as well as with photos.
Because vocalization is not just a method for data exchange but it is also a method for
confering meaning. It is the meaning of words that is the foundation for all of the greatest
literature in history. It is the ability of words to combine sounds and symbols into
something greater than the sum of its parts.
