Use of Short Message Service (SMS) among the Smartphone users of Bangladesh compared to the use of dedicated messaging and/or voice communication apps for Smartphone i.e. Viber, Whatssap, Facebook Messenger, Imo, Line and Wechat. Objective of the term paper: To find out if the extent of SMS use has been significantly decreased due to the advent of social messaging apps as named above. Survey Details: Questionnaire type: close ended questionnaire Sampling type: convenience sampling Population size: estimated at 8.2 Millions (Dhaka Tribune, 2016)1 Sample Size: at Confidence level 90% and estimated stddev of 0.5, required population size n=(Z^2*stddev*(1-stddev))/(1-confidence level)^2 =( 1.645^2*0.5*0.5)/(1-.90)^2 =0.6765/.01=67.65 so sample size approximately 68.
