PRESIDENT AQUINO COMMEMORATES

Every year, during the 30th of December, we always celebrate Rizals Day. Everyone
was enjoying this break not only because it has been declared as holiday. But also
because of some fun activities happening during this day like, lectures, tertulia, poetry
reading competition, light and sound presentation and guided tours, free medical and
optical services, Filipino games exhibition, fireworks display and most of all, free
MRT/LRT rides.
30th December 2015,
President Benigno S.
Aquino was set to lead the
commemoration of the
national heros 119th death
anniversary.
As a respect and to give
honor, President Aquino
was the one who led the
flag-raising rites at the Rizal
National Monument in
Manila.

He has been assisted by the National Historical Commission of the Philippines and
other various government agencies.
President Aquino reminded all the Filipinos how Dr. Jose Rizal worked hard through his
writings and deeds just for us to have a free country from shackles of abuse and
treating us with inequality during the colonial years under Spain.

President Aquino states that May we all be

inspired by Dr. Jose Rizals courage and
intelligence, his sense of duty, hunger for
knowledge, passion for reform, and undying love
of country.
Let us all be heroes in our own way, and reaffirm
our commitment to the Daang Matuwid. Only by
traversing this road towards fairness and progress
can we translate our dreams into tangible realities
