Various Relays in the BMW E46

The first set of relays is located behind the glovebox. This relay location requires that the glovebox be removed for access.

For cars from 1999 model year without headlight washers

1 - ?? (White-Green)
2 - Emission Air Pump Relay (Salmon)
3 - K96, Fuel Pump (White-Green) *1
4 - K19, A/C Compressor (Golden Brown or White-Green)
5 - K47, Fog Lights (Orange or White-Green)
6 - K2, Horn (White-Green)
*1 - Not on cars with DME MSS54

For cars from 1999 model year with headlight washers

1 - Headlight washer relay (Sky Blue)

2 - ??
3 - K96, Fuel Pump (White-Green) *1
4 - K19, A/C Compressor (Golden Brown or White-Green)
5 - K47, Fog Lights (Orange or White-Green)
6 - Horn (White-Green)?
7 - Rear window on Wagon (?) located below relays 1 & 2
*1 - Not on cars with DME MSS54

The next group of relays is located in the E-Box under the hood near the fire wall on the driver's side.

1 - K6300, Sky Blue Relay (DME)

2 - K6325, Ultra Sky Blue Relay (Reversing Light-Auto only) or K6318,
SMG pump-M3 w/SMG only (Salmon )
3 - K6326, Unloader Relay (Salmon or White-Green) or K6327, Fuel
Injector Relay
4 - K11, Front Windshield Wiper Relay (Green-Brown)
