A Bit of Linguistic History Printed texts in the Scar Syllabary are kept in left-to-right books or on scrolls and are typically printed with a press or written with a brush ina red ink made from Pomegranates. Initia vowels were originally nonexistant, but over time certain words that used to begin with "h-" have dropped that initial consonant to leave just a vowel. Different regions of the Shessin empire deal with this in different ways, but the standard and most accepted method is by assigning the quaternary L group to the initial vowels. The shapes of the letters are based on the ‘Phags-pa script. The name of the alphabet is a working title based on the Greek for acid and script. It's called this because the people in the fictional world, which will be built along side the conlang, etched all of their writing into brass or stone using acid Notable features * Oxidilogi is written in vertical two-glyph columns running in a left to right and top to bottom direction, * A vertical line is used to separate columns. * A horizontal line is used for punctuation. * This glyph: we is used as a placeholder for stand-alone vowels.
