Job Description

The SOS Ambassador's primary responsibilities include leading


presentations, workshops, and campus tours for audiences of middle and
high school students. Audiences can range from 10 - 400 in size. Events will
take place at all four campuses and off-campus. are of a routine and simple
nature. Requires direct supervision with relatively specific instructions.

Essential Duties

Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Leading programming at events, providing presentations, workshops,


and guided campus tours of campus.

Communicating with school contacts, participating students, and


event staff professionally & effectively.

Preparing materials for events, attending mandatory trainings and


event meetings.

Representing ASU at education and community events.

Ensuring customer satisfaction and on-site problem solving.

Tracking and reporting event data and feedback.

Ensuring achievement of program goals, themes, and objectives.

Days and Schedule: Position is up to 15 hours/week for 4 months,


(September - December) with the possibility to continue during Spring
semester based on performance. Applicant must be available to work
Tuesday or Thursdays between 8am through 3 pm; other available hours
must be Mondays-Fridays between 8am-5pm. Advance notice will be given
for occasional night and weekend events. Hours and schedule will fluctuate
based on event schedule. Travel to other campuses and off-site is required.
Minimum
Qualifications

Little or no training or experience is required.

Candidate must have prior experience in the following areas:

Public speaking leading groups or activities;

Managing multiple tasks and remaining flexible in job duties;

Working in a professional environment experience;

Working with K-12 students and events (preferred).

Candidate must demonstrate resourcefulness and good problem-solving


abilities, professionalism, leadership, interpersonal skills, customer service,
strong verbal and written communication skills, and strong organizational
skills with the ability to prioritize tasks. Fluency in Spanish is preferred but not
necessary
