Adjective Notes

Adjectives are used to describe or modify nouns.

The fat cat. fat is an adjective used to describe or modify cat.
Position of adjective:
Adjectives can go before the noun or after the verb to be
The fat cat walked down the street.

The cat is fat.

Forms of the verb to be:

I am
You are
He is
She is
It is

We are
You are
They are

There are four types of adjectives.

1. describe what something is like
2. express an opinion about something
3. give information about the amount of something
4. show who something belongs to
