Attention to the installation

1 Standard installation of the dryer: Installation without ground bolt is


acceptable. While, it shall be installed on a solid basement and the height
of the drainage system shall be considered. There shall be drainage ground
channel.
2 The dryer can not be installed in the outside with bad condition, such as of
direct sunshine, rain, high temperature, bad ventilation or heavy dust. The
best ambient temperature of the dryer is between 0and 38.
3 While assembling, please not use too long pipeline, too many elbows, pipe of
too small size to prevent from the unnecessary pressure drop. The bypass
valves shall be installed at the inlet and outlet of the dryer for easy
maintenance.

4. Please check the power connection wire when installing the dryer. It may become
loose after transportation. Pay attention to the following:

the compressor works correctly. On the contrary, if
the low pressure gauge and the high pressure gauge do not move(but trembling a bit), and there is big noise
of the compressor at the same time, the dryer shall be shut down within three seconds, and change the

phase sequence of power.

5. The cooling water shall be with a pressure between 0.2 Mpa -0.4Mpa and a
temperature less than 32. Install a water filter at the inlet to prevent
from the condenser being rusty or jammed.
6. The pipeline filter is suggested to be equipped at the inlet of the dryer to
prevent the solid impurities with a size bigger than 3um and oil from
polluting HECH copper tube surface. This case may affect heat-exchanging
ability.

Installation and usage of the electronic drainage


1. The filtration ball valve is easily cleaned with a small size. Its rated
pressure is 16Bar with a 1/2"cooling water inlet and 1/2" Or 1/4" outlet.
Fix it before the electronic water drainage to ensure the normal working
of the valve core.
2. When installing the electromagnetic valve, please pay attention to the
consistency of the flow direction of cooling water and the arrow pointed
on the body of the valve. Valve body is installed horizontally with the up
coil. The outlet is connected with the tube (such as the hard PVC tube) to
the sewer.
3. When connecting the timer, firstly take out the screw on the connection head,
put the connection head out of the timer; take down the outer cover of the
connector; make the cable line get through the outer cover line hole.
After wiring, fix the connector on the timer back. Tighten up the
waterproof nuts of the connection head and tighten the fixed screw (cross
M3). Please do tighten it to prevent from unnecessary problems of coil and
timer.

Attention
Do use7~8 three core round sheath cable to connect the cable thread, and
make sure it is reliable grounded. The power shall meet the requirement.

4. When fixing the timer, the left side knob sets up the time interval, the
right side knob sets up the discharge time. The user should make the
adjustment according to the climate and the working condition.

Operation process of SLAD Series Refrigeration Compressed Air Drier


1Examination before starting up
1). Check the refrigeration system: Observe High pressure gauge and Low
pressure gauge on the control panel, which can reach a balance under
certain pressure. The pressure of this balance is fluctuating up and down
on the basis of level of the environment temperature, generally in 0.5MPa
1.2MPa.

Attention
If the low pressure gauge reading is zero, the refrigerant has been leaked.
Please contact the manufacturer to solve it.
2).Examine the power voltage to see if it is normal.
3). Check the pipeline. The inlet air pressure should not be higher than
working pressure. And its temperature should not be higher than the set
value while selecting this type.
4). As to the dryer with a capacity of 30 m3/min and higher, it must be
heated (put through the power, the heater is heated automatically) for
more than 8 hours before using for the first time, by ensuring the
temperature

in

the

oil

compressed

engine

is

higher

than

ambient

temperature by 10 at least. Otherwise, the compressor will be damaged


seriously.

Attention
If the compressor engine oil heater doesnt work before starting,
the compressor will be damaged. If your operation doesnt apply to our
instruction, the free maintenance will not be offered.

5). As to the water-cooled dryer, please check the cooling water supply is
correctly connected with the condenser. Its pressure is 0.2Mpa-0.4Mpa and
temperature should be less than 32.

running.

Start Procedure of the dryer:


1Switch on the electricity power and close the air switch. At this time, the
power indication light (red) will be on.
2Open the inlet and outlet valve of the cooling water.
3 Press

the green

start button; then wait till the start indication

lamp(Green) lights for 5 minutes, the compressor begins to work. The run
indication lamp (Green) lights.
4 Check the compressor works normally without any noises. As to R407C
refrigerant, the normal reading range of the refrigerant LP pressure is between
0.3 and 0.5MPa.
5 If everything is normal, open the air compressor and the inlet and outlet
check valve to transmit the compressed air into the dryer; and meanwhile close
the by-pass valve. At this moment, the air outlet pressure will be showed by
the air pressure gauge.
6 Observe the working performance for 5 to 10minutes,the designed 2-10

pressure dew point can be reached. And meanwhile, the normal high pressure and
low pressure of refrigerant reading are as below.
Low pressure of refrigerant: 0.30.5MPa
High pressure of refrigerant: 1.21.8MPa
7Open the copper ball valve on the automatic drainage slowly to discharge all
the condensed water.

Attention
When the ambient temperature is quite low in the winter, please open
the dryer before opening the cooling waters inlet and outlet valve.
The counter-flow of the compressed air is forbidden. Otherwise, the
evaporatorwill be damaged.

Attention to the dryers operation:


1Open the by-pass valve to let the compressed air continually flow into the
downstream tube, then close the outlet of the dryer;
2Close the inlet check valve of the dryer and relief the dryers pressure;
3 Press the red STOP button of the dryer and cut off the power. Open the
manual drainage valve to eliminate all the condensed water.

Attention
Open the discharger of the condenser to eliminate all the water
when the machine doesnt work.
Attention to the dryers operation:

Do not run the dryer in empty load for a long time.


Do not start and stop the dryer in a short time. There shall be a

interval time of 10 minutes between two starts to protect the refrigerant


compressor.

The maintenance requirement of refrigeration compressed air dryer


The following items are normal daily maintenance of the dryer. Please see
below.

Check to ensure that the reading of the refrigerant LP (low pressure)


gauge is in the normal range when the machine is working.

2 The maintenance for the automatic drainage


Check the drainages working condition every day and clean it regularly.

Attention

For the first time, please wash the tubes for 20 minutes by the
compressed air under the standard working condition before installing
the drainage.

3 The maintenance for the electronic drainage


It is suggested that pressing the manual test button (TEST) on the timer
for several times when you do the daily check of the whole compressed air
system.
Please pay attention to the followings when using the electronic drainage.
1) The manual test button (TEST) on the timer is used to check the daily
water discharging condition. Once press it, the drainage will work
according to the set time.
2)

If the cooling water is too dirty, the electronic drainer may leak and

the electromagnetic valve can not close wholly. This problem can be solved
by the following method:
(1)

Press the test button (TEST) repeatedly until it becomes normal (it is very
effective to most block.).
(2)

If the above method can't be effective, open and clean the electromagnetic
valve.
4 Supposing another drainage valve is equipped,

ensure its

work at least

twice everyday regularly..


5 Clean the air condensers fins periodically by the compressed air or the
low pressure water spout with cleaner; or brushing it by copper brush.
Meanwhile, clean the impurities in it every year according to the actual
working condition.
6 Maintenance for the internal parts of the dryer:
During non-working period, clean the internal machine in the certain time, and
protect the refrigeration system from being damaged.
7 Good ventilation is necessary for the equipment and keep it away from the
direct sunshine and heat sources.
8 Under the full load situation, check the pressure loss of the air flow.
If it is higher than the designed value for 0.035Mpa, please wash the air
tube backward. Separate the dryer from the whole air system and close all
the discharging ports. Pour the water with the cleaner into the air system
and keep it for 4 to 6 hours. Then pump the detergent into the air outlet
and discharge it from the air inlet by cycle. Finally wash it by the warm
water.

Attention
Do clean the drainage by suds. Gasoline, toluene, spirits of turpentine or other
erodent are prohibited to be used.

Cleaning for electronic drainage


1 Shut off the filter, press test (TEST) button, guarantee the electronic
drainer isolates from air system (No pressure);
2 Cut off the power of the electronic automatic drainer.
3 Takes down the connection coil, the controller, the long screw of the end of
a thread;

4 Loosen the thread cap and takes down the coil;

5 Open the outer covering of the ferrite core with the spanner pine, take down
the ferrite core and the spring

6 Wash the body of the electromagnetic valve, core outer cover, core, spring

7 Install it according to the steps on the contrary items after cleaning.

Besides the above, the manual adjustments may be taken under some certain
conditions. Due to the changed working condition, some refrigeration parts are
broken. The dryer can work but the result is not quite good.
The dryer is furnished with the adjustable hot air by-pass valve which can
be automatically adjusted according to its load. If the valve must to be

adjusted, first turn on the cap nut in the top of hot air by-pass valve, then
revolves the valve lever with spanner, Clockwise rotation enlarges opens,
counterclockwise rotation reduces opens, the turning range shall be 1/41/2
circle at one time. After operating this equipment for 35 minutes, check the
performance. Do it repeatedly till it gets the normal function.
Since the whole system of the dryer is complicated and complete, we shall
consider and check the whole system if there is any problem. Meanwhile, we
shall pay attention to the refrigeration system when doing the maintenance.
Otherwise the refrigerant leakage may be caused.
