The reading strategy that may utilize to further strengthen my reading
skills Questioning to understand and remember on what I am reading. These
questions are designed to help you understand a reading and respond to it
more fully. When you need to understand and use new information though it
is most beneficial if you write the questions, as you read the text for the first
time. It is important that, before you begin to read, you have a question or
set of questions that will guide you - why am I reading this? When you have
a purpose to your reading you want to learn and retain certain information.
Having questions changes reading from a passive to an active pursuit.

The goal of questioning to understand and remember is to reduce the words
and gather as much important information as you can.
Steps
1. Before you begin to read you have a question or set of questions that will
guide you, why am I reading this?
2. During reading, you ask questions that you find confusing.
3. After reading, reading you want to learn and retain certain information on
what you read.
