My teaching philosophy...

I believe that the purpose of the classroom is to prepare

students for future
success and to guide
them towards becoming thoughtful and
productive citizens. I
prioritize critical
thinking skills and
creativity which will
enable students to be
problem solvers with
the potential of bettering the future of
our society. Additionally, I believe in the
importance of multilingual education to
enable students to be
globally competitive.
Good education emphasizes real life application and community partnership to
provide students with
a purpose for learning. In turn, these
real-life community
connections will create intrinsically motivated lifelong learners.

I believe in equality
within the field of
education, and I
know that every
child has the potential to learn. I want
students to recognize multiple perspectives to cultivate an environment
of respect and acceptance within the
learning community.
With the great presence of diversity in
the classroom, student-centered education is now more important than ever.
Each activity should
be carefully developed based on the
unique learners within each learning community. With the addition of student
choice and diversified, interactive
learning, studentcentered classrooms
can ensure success
for every learner.

After my first
cross-cultural
missions trip to
Baja, Mexico, I
was inspired to
study the Spanish
language and culture. Now, as a
bilingual educator, I hope to instill a love of language and learning into my students. I dream of
classroom in
which English and
Spanish coexist
to enrich the
learning environment and help my
students become
globally competitive learners.
