The world is now too much confused about how to address Dr.
Sinchan Das, because in one hand, he is
'Sir','Master','Maestro', 'Minister','Chancellor' etc in the
other hand he is 'Sangeet Ratna', 'Sangeet Bhushan',
'Surasagar','Taantarang', 'Taankar', 'Taan Samrat',etc. Dr.
Sinchan Das, son of Mr. Harendra nath Das , a successful
statistician & Dr. Susmita Das, a successful Botanist, was born
on the 3rd day of December of the year 1990, lives in Kolkata.
This young guy is not only a reputed Homoeopathic
physician, but also a well-known Indian Classical Vocalist.
Dr. Das had started his schooling in 'Sailendra Sircar
Vidyalaya' of Shyambazar, Kolkata. After that his high school
was in 'Naktala Boys High School' & 'Boral High School'
up to Higher Secondary. Then his further medical study had
begun in 'Pratap Chandra Memorial Homoeopathic
Hospital & College' to be a Homoeopathic Physician &
Successfully completed that on 2014. This is about his
educational journey. Beside of carrying his studies. He stepped
into the world of music at the age of 5 years. Under the loving
tutelage of Sri Koushik Bhattacharya for a span of 9 years, his
fondness for music developed gradually and he made it a major
part of his everyday life. Sri Koushik Bhattacharya is the son and
disciple of late Pandit Pataki Bhattacharya. Then Sinchan came
under highly inspirable contact of Pandit Samaresh
Chawdhury of Rampur Senia Gharana and got him as his guru
in getting intensive talim in Indian Classical Music. Pandit
Samaresh Chawdhury, son and disciple of the illustrious
Sangeetacharya late Amaresh Chawdhury. Beside of being a
classical vocalist, Sinchan is also a Sarode Player. He took his
lesson to famous Sarode player Pandit Kamal Mallick, who

was the direct disciple of Ustad Ali Akbar Khan saheb & Pandit
Shyam Gangopadhyay.
He was awarded with many awards & titles from a number of
greatest musical maestros, like 'Sangget Ratna', 'Sangeet
Visharad', 'Sangeet Shiromani', 'Sangeet
Bhushan''Taankar', 'Taan ratna', 'Surasagar',The oldest
award of music,i.e. "Grammaphone", 'Honorary Ph.D.'
'Emperror of music', 'Sangeetacharya', 'Voice of god',
Taaj Samman, Mayur Samman, Taan Samrat etc and
many more. He have established himself as a master of rare
raagas. He is the founder of a new era in Indian classical music
by introducing his Tantrikari, i.e. instrumental style of Taankari
which has made the area of Classical music widen. Most of all he
has a god gifted quality in his music, which is able to magnetize
the entire audience towards him.
