DEITY:

Refine your relationship with Awldir. Are you more a paladin of protection,
seeking to protect the people from creatures of the depths? A paladin on a quest
to protects the depths and mines of his home? A paladin devoted more to his
country than his god? Or a paladin of vengeance, seeking to return wicked lost
souls back to the grave?
What is your holy symbol? It could be something you wear, like a pendant,
or a symbol on your shield in some fashion.
SPELLCASTING:
I have your spell sheet printed out, which includes your spell options and
statistics. Ill mark which spells you choose, make sure to tell me.
Understanding the Mechanics:
Paladins are half-casters, they dont have as many spell
slots. Spell slots are how many times you get to cast. To regain these
slots, you must take a long rest (8 hours, usually sleep). Also, one of your
abilities, Divine Smite, utilizes a spell slot, so keep that inmind.
Some spells where you attack them use a spell modifier
(listed on your sheet), where you have to beat their AC (Think of this like
attacking with a bow and arrow - you have to hit them).
Other spells use a saving throw, where the opponent has to
try to escape your effects (like trying to dodge out of the way of a fireball
or fighting off a mind control effect).
From the Paladin spell list, choose:
Four first level spells:
My suggestions:
Cure Wounds - a good standard
healing spell for all of our partys healing needs.
Shield of Faith - Give extra +2 AC
to an ally. Great support spell to help your allies.
Bless - gives the whole party an
extra die (d4) to use on attacks or saving throws. Good
support.

Heroism - an ally gets temporary

hit points each turn. Another support.
Thunderous Smite - Similar to
your Divine Smite, but does some better damage, and also
shoves them away 10 feet (potentially off a cliff)
Wrathful Smite - Another smite.
This one doesnt do as much damage, but frightens them,
giving disadvantage on all attacks.
Searing Smite - Smiting spell.
Target takes damage each round as it is on fire.
