Of all the things that President Duterte said in the State of the Nation Address
last July 25,2016, this statement caught my attention, But we must have the courage to
fight for what we believe in, undeterred by the fear of failing or losing. Indeed, courage
knows no limits, cowardice does. I already know hes a man of his words thats why I
salute and like him. Whenever I see President Duterte in the television, Im always in
awe on how simple he dressed and how he commands the government officials. Ive
learned that we should always stand on our words and fight for what we believe in. Only
a few people can do this but if well not do this, we will be forever scared to fight and to
let others know our beliefs. When fighting for what we believe in, theres a lot of
struggles that we need to go through but thats how life is. We may feel scared of failing
or losing but if we remember why we need to fight our beliefs and what it is for, we might
have the courage to fight back. Just like President Duterte, theres a lot of people who
are bashing or hating him. A few of our countrymen especially those government
officials, activists, criminals, and the Catholic Church. But those people didnt stop him
nor will not stop him because he is fighting for what he believes and his belief is that this
is the way of stopping the surging crimes in our country. Hes fighting for us, Filipinos,
for our safety and for our future. Thats why hell do his best to stop the crimes, the
corruption, and the abuse. His love for our country and for us, his countrymen is strong,
I can see that because hell do anything and everything even if he has to kill the
criminals to stop their crimes. We may experience a lot of problems; we may felt fear of
losing, but if we have the reason why we are fighting for what we believe in, we will all
have the courage to fight and to continue doing our best for our beliefs.
