violent storm. In this far regions the crew of the unlucky ship seems lost within a tragic
conclusion, when from the fog magically appears (such sent from God to help them) a

The whole setting before the apparition of the Albatross is characterized of a dark and
gloomy nature, which reflects the sense of loss within a Christian religious vein. In this
vision, the same killing of bird is classified such as a negative and evil action, failing of
rational law or matter; the figure of the Albatross rises, in conclusion, to an holy and
spiritual dimension. Analyzing the structure building is sizeable the alternation of a
caption and dialogue parts; for what regard the caption it has the function to
introduced the following stanzas, which constitute the dialogue part. So the dialogue
part leads its foundations in the stanzas construction, which are made up on a four
line each ones. In the sound level can be find, also the rhyme scheme (ABCB), internal
rhyme and archaism; instead, for the figures of speech employed, are present strong
symbols such as the fog, which has a precise value, the loss of a right moral way. The
linguistic structure is characterized y the use of archaism and of several words, which
presents an internal religious meaning.
