HEAVEN'S ARIA

ADVENTURE PATH 1 of 6

THE

CROWN

OF

BONE

They say that once in a bygone age, a Blight fell upon the land of Ilskaradun.
Those who died rose again and marched upon their surviving kin. At their lead, a
pale white Necromancer rode atop a pale white horse. Some whispered he was
the Horsemen of Plague, others said he was an ancient Blood Lord come to cull
the land of its inhabitants. As quickly as he had come, he vanished...his armies
with him.
All that was left to prove he'd ever existed was a crown, made from bone, inlaid
with black diamonds and white gold fillagee. The crown now rests in the
Mourner's Palace.
A jet black, bleak citadel in the city of Blackgate.
THE PLOTLINE
For much of the first three parts of Heaven's Aria, the plot revolves around the
Bone King, Crullac Khaen, as he tries to retake his haunted palace in Blackgate,
and then further afield fighting skirmishes against the Heroes and their
compatriots.
BEGINNINGS

The Heroes start in Bartton, a small outlying village wherein there is only one
Alehouse, simply called the Bartton's Bar. While there are plenty of distractions
in the form of a pretty barmaid named Isella, a dwarf by the name of Rotgut that
gambles with any who'll bite at his complex game of cards, known as the Dragon's
Talons, and a bevy of sporting miners ready to arm wrestle for a few coin.
One patron of the alehouse seems out of place compaired to the rest. For starters
he is dressed in a fine "gentlemen's" greatcoat, as black as the night sky.
