Kaitlin Reid's classroom management plan involves the Love and Logic approach where students are responsible for their behaviors and problem-solving. She uses post-it notes for students to write their names if an issue occurs during class so she can later discuss how they can improve. Kaitlin also utilizes Class Dojo for positive reinforcement through earning dojo points for good listening, participation, helping others, and quiet transitions. Students can work to meet goals to move up on a leaderboard. Additionally, students can earn "Schroeder Bucks" throughout the week for tasks like returning reading logs, having their folder, doing class jobs, and working hard, which they can save or spend at the end of the week to purchase items

I feel that in my classroom that students benefit from "Love and Logic." Through this program my students become responsible for their behaviors and have to figure out how to solve the problem. Through this, as a teacher I react to situations with empathy rather than sympathy. Students work through their problems to become problem solvers and in control of their actions. If something happens while I am teaching and I do not have time to talk to them about it or see what they do differently, I have a post-it note on the side table where I have the students write their name. With them writing their name on the post-it note it reminds me later to talk to them about their actions and how they could improve them. This also has the students take ownership of their actions. Class Dojo I also use Class Dojo in my classroom to reward with positive reinforcements in the classroom. Students can earn dojo points by being a good listener, participating, helping others, and having quiet transitions. At the end of each week the students points are looked at and if they have met the next goal, then they move up on the leaderboard in the commons. Schroeder Bucks Throughout the week students can earn Schroeder Bucks. Students can earn these bucks by returning their reading log, turning in their folder, getting paid for doing their class job, and for working hard. The students have the opportunity to either save their Schroeder Bucks or spend them at the end of the week to purchase a variety of different things.
