LACK OF SLEEP, AS SMART PHONE USE INCREASES.

Ugandas economy has worsened because so many people are too busy on smart
phone doing nothing and no business
Smart phone use directly correlates with sleep with greater use demonstrating a
significant associate with shorter sleep duration and worse sleep efficiency.
Its not surprisingly that people spend a lot of time doing no work but just acting
that they are doing something even in the middle of the night.
So many people use directly measuring screen time rather than relying on selfreported use and those with that use more time on smart phones have poorer sleep.
About 67 percent of Ugandans youths own smart phones and the estimated
63percent of the owners store their phones on abed side table while sleeping. but
screen time differs across age and race yet similar across socioeconomic groups.
According to the doctors research they, they say that poor sleep either quantity or
quality has been shown as a risk factor for obesity, diabetes cardiovascular disease
depression and over all morality light in the blue spectrum such as that produced by
a smart phone.
Increased smart phone time in the hour of and after bed time was associated with
greater sleep on set latency.
This agrees with the notion that smart phone use before attempting to fall asleep
may be particularly problematic.
Smart phone screen time was not associated with any change in physical activity
level or body mass index. This could be attributable to the multifunctionality of
smart phones or their use during physical activities such as in running apps.
To assess sleep duration and quality as smart phone use increases particularly
around bed time sleep duration and quality decreased
