The Ice Master Blurb

The Ice Master is an adventure book about a man named Vilhjalmur

Stefansson. He was trying to find the lost continent in the Arctic oceans. So
he hired men to help him on his search for land under the Artic oceans and
one of the men he hired was the Captain named Bob Bartlett. They went on
their search on te 17th of June,1913, on a retired whaler called Karluk.
On their journey in the artic oceans their ship got surrounded by
icebergs. When they were surrounded by icebergs, they were listening to
music records and reading books about another ship getting crushed by
icebergs. Steffanson and some men loaded up a dog sledge and headed off.
Meanwhile Bartlett staid on the ship with crew members, 16 of them didnt
make it through.Then Bartlett and the survivors found a sancuary in Siberia
where they were surving.
The most intresting part was that Stefansson survived and betrayed his
comrades. However he got a medal for discovering islands in the Artic
islands, even when he betrayed his men, Stefansson didn't even give some
credit to people traveling with him on board.
