SEGUIMOS CREANDO ENLACES 2017

Call for Participation

The Seguimos Creando Enlaces Conference Committee invites immigrant and refugeeserving organizations in San Diego to participate in this years conference, which will
be held in Baja California on March 9, 2017 and at the San Diego Central Library on
March 10, 2017.
This unique opportunity will allow you to connect with over a hundred librarians from
our border region, share relevant information, and develop partnerships. Libraries are
eager to meet the information needs of the immigrant and refugee community in San
Diego. With your help, we can create a more welcoming and informed region.
Ways to Get Involved:

Set up an outreach booth at the event to network with librarians and share
information. (March 10, 2017 at San Diego Central Library)

Participate in a panel session and Q&A with providers from local immigrantserving organizations. Suggested topics: local resources for immigrants and
refugees, partnerships with libraries, cultural competency, updates on
immigration policy. Or pitch an idea for a topic relevant to libraries. (March 10,
2017 at San Diego Central Library). The deadline to submit a proposal is January

Provide Know Your Rights and other relevant educational materials to be

distributed at the conference.
