I am very interested in the posted position Undergraduate Nurse.
I have spent a total of 8 years as a Unit Clerk in Geriatric Assessment
Rehabilitation Program, Convalescence, Transition and General
Medicine at various hospitals across Alberta. I believe that my prior
experience in acute care has triggered my focus in providing quality,
patient focused care.
To date, I have completed 480 hours of clinical practice including
long-term care, orthopedics, medical surgery, pediatrics and labour
and delivery. I am currently completing my final clinical placement for
this semester on an acute mental health unit consisting of 156 hours.
By the end of June, I would have completed a total of 636 hours on an
acute clinical setting.
I realize that I do not possess a lot of experience in acute care
but I do have a fresh, innovative outlook on health care, and the
passion for providing the highest quality of patient, focused care. My
goal is to work on a busy acute unit upon graduation. I have enclosed a
