Improving Instruction by Listening to Children

1.) In the past, the way teacher taught was just pain lecture. The teacher
stands in front of the class and talks to the students. All the teacher
taught the class in their own method. Therefore, the student will have
to learn according the the teachers method. In the first vignette, the
teacher was teaching according the the school system. However, later
they found out that this teaching style is not helping the student.
Therefore, the vignette steers away from the traditional teaching later.

3.) When the student shares their solution to the teacher, the teacher will
learn from the student understanding. Furthermore, the can build the
students understanding base on what the student already understood.
Therefore, it is crucial the teacher learns from the students. This
method will benefit both side. Teacher needs to understand that all
student learns differently. Therefore, teachers cannot just teach one
way and expect that all the student understood what they taught.
Thus, teachers and students need to have a similar understanding.
