HYSTORYS MYSTERIES:

THE ENCHANTED BULL FROM LA PELOTA HILL

(EL TORO ENCANTADO DEL CERRO LA PELOTA)

The city of Jaen is surrounded by

several hills. One of these is called
"LA PELOTA". In this hill there is a
big lagoon. The old residents say
that this lagoon is delighted,
because it is guarded by a bull,
which is subject to seven gold
chains in a cave.
It has been found that there was a
small town called ALTO JAEN
several
years
ago.
But
unfortunately
this
town
was
flooded by the lagoon. The old
residents say that this happened
because there was a lot greedy
and corrupt people in that town.
Actually, who inhabited this town were Spanish people, according to
the writings found in Jaens museum.
The reason why the town was flooded is unknown. But some people
believe that this mysterious animal caused this fatality.
Why is this bull chained?
Well, according the story, this animal was chained by the ancient
inhabitants of Jaen. They were called "Bracamoros". The reason was
because this animal caused several disasters.
At present, this story is very popular in Jaen city. Many people think
that this story is true, because the lagoon and the hill if there are.
It is said that when the bull break all chains, the lagoon flooded all the
city of Jaen.
MY OPINION: Well, for me this story is questionable, because I dont
believe it. There isnt evidence to say that this is true.
