achieve the supreme perfection? It is said, nnmuni nn-mata so many philosophers were
there with their many different philosophies, and
they all gave their different opinions, but it was
not decided what to do. At last Srila Sukadev
Goswami came, and Parikshit asked him the same
question, What shall I do? Sukadev Goswami
said, You should hear rmad Bhgavatam, k akath. Hearing this, everyone unanimously approved. So Srila Sukadev Goswami continuously
narrated rmad Bhgavatam for seven days, and
Parikshit Maharaja only heard. rava e parkid

heard and Vaiyasiki, Sukadev Goswami, the son
of Vyasadev, only did krtana. Thereby they
achieved the supreme perfection. rmad
Bhgavatam is such a scripture, the essence of all
Vedic scripture.
rmad Bhgavatam is the commentary of
Vednta-sutra. Vednta-sutra was compiled by
Srila Vyasadev and he himself has given the commentary, this is paramahasa-samhit, it is a commentary of Vednta-sutra. But the myvds
dont speak from rmad Bhgavatam. When they
give the commentary of Vedntra-sutra they give
the commentary compiled by Sankaracharya
known as rraka-bhya, an imaginative commentary. It is not a proper, bona fide commentary. Therefore In r Caitanya-caritmta (madhya
6.169) Sriman Mahaprabhu has said:
jvera nistra lgi stra kaila vysa
myvdi-bhya unile haya sarva-na
