I wish to apply to the role of a Trainee Accountant currently advertised on your website. Please find
enclosed my CV for your consideration.
I am currently studying BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance and the nature of my degree course has
prepared me for this position. I have a passion to become ACCA chartered accountant and a
willingness to work hard. For one unit on my course I studied is international financial reporting and
analysis, an understanding of the accounting industry was essential. I found this subject very
stimulating. It involved a great deal of independent research, self-motivation and a wide range of skills.
This unit has given me an in depth knowledge and understanding in accounting.
As shown on my attached CV, I recently worked at Integral and the tasks that were included was over
shadowing the warehouse supervisor and working on an accounting software called SAGE with the
accounting team, stock control team and credit control team. This gave me an insight of how
accounting software works within an organisation.
I am a very organised person, this skill was demonstrated at university when I took on a good
leadership role and delegated tasks fairly to my team members. I also have keen eye for detail and I
should be very grateful for the opportunity to progress in your company. I am able to take on the
responsibility of this position immediately, and have the enthusiasm and determination to ensure that
I make a success of it.
