Its my honor and pleasure to provide this letter of recommendation for Valerie Wilson as she pursues a teaching position with your school
board. Ive had the privilege of working with Valerie as a cooperative supervising teacher during the 2011/2012 school year. I was also
fortunate to be her grade one teacher once upon a time. What a delight it has been for me to see this kind sweet girl grow into a confident,
compassionate and wise woman.
Valerie impressed me right from the beginning of her placement. She entered my classroom with an authentic sense of humility. She
demonstrated traits I rarely saw from my cooperative students. She went out of her way to elicit feedback from me as well as from the
students. She was confident in her future career choice as an educator and she was eager to jump right in and learn what it all entailed.
Valerie was good at keeping all the students in mind during lessons and would act proactively in providing manipulatives, supervision or
support to those she knew would likely need it. She showed a natural teaching ability and developed an excellent rapport with students and
teachers alike that was based on a mutual respect.
Valerie has my highest recommendation for a teaching position, and I look forward to learning more about the accomplishments that lie in her
professional future.
