KURYENTE!!!

: After visiting 11 typhoon-ravaged barangays in OCAMPO and PILI, we (led by

VP Leni Gerona Robredo) wrapped up the day (it was already past 8pm) by meeting with the
top officials of Camarines Sur II Electric Cooperative (CASURECO 2). I told Acting General
Manager ORLANDO M. ANDRES (who can't speak Bikol) "na ngayon lang ito nangyari,
lalong-lalo na sa NAGA area, na masyadong natatagalan ang pagbalik ng kuryente." He
informed us that 5 teams from CAMARINES NORTE and SAMAR electric cooperatives would
be augmenting the local work force this week to fast-track power restoration. We strongly
urged him, though, to come up with SPECIFIC POWER RESTORATION TIMELINES (in other
words, NUARIN TALAGA MAABOT AN KURYENTE) for the guidance of the consumers.
