Fate's Plan

I was always told fate has a plan

Never knew what the plan was for me and still dont
But Ive watched others as their plan unravels
Discovering what you thought was going to happen doesnt - fate has a way of sending you
where you need to be.
Fate chose a different path for my great aunt
She thought to go to one way, but fate took her another
New York to Florida, Healthy to Unhealthy
Different path but same well lived life, two sons, rebuilt relationship with her sister
And got to watch her grandkids grow up for the most part.
Fate also chose a path for my great grandma
Not always the easiest, filled with roadblocks and challenges
She lived through a cheating husband 3 kids who idolized him out of her 5
Dementia and a bunch of grandkids that barely visited her
Yet she lived a long life and got to meet her grand kids as well
She had a hard life, but at least happy and content.
Fate had two different paths for both of these
Women in my life, they inspired me to trust and move forward and believe
I don't know my fate but I hope I get as lucky as them
To have lived a full life bumps and all.
