SUMMARY

Process Automation Utilized the use of T-SQL and PowerShell to automate administrative
tasks. Automated the process of collecting and storing database space information centrally
for storage forecasting. Automated the process for determining and alerting (if necessary)
when a database object had changed.
Performance Tuning Worked with developers and system analyst to ensure the database
performance is optimal. Worked with the teams to isolate the areas that can be improved.
Security and Compliance Ensured the databases were within security and patch
compliance. Primary contact for the SOX audit compliance.

Database Engineer SQL Server

1999 2016
2006 - 2016

Performed process automation for collecting the SAP Data Services and Information Steward
application database information for weekly review. Worked with the Basis Engineers,
System Analyst and development team to monitor the database growth with the use of
automated T-SQL and PowerShell scripts. Utilized T-SQL script to refresh the Solution
Manager objects after the application pre-production databases were refreshed from
production data. Utilized T-SQL and PowerShell scripts in the process of collecting database
SAN space utilization and for forecasting purposes.
Worked with the System Analyst for the eMDM application on performance concerns.
Worked closely with the Analyst to review the query execution plan to determine the initial
area of improvement. Worked with the Analyst to ensure the indexes optimized for the
objects.

As the representative for the group for the Rapid Response Security team, I would create the
project plan to implement security remediation activities for the SAP database environment.
During the Sarbanes-Oxley audit, I represented the organization and provided the technical
expertise to resolve any audit issues. For any audit concerns, I provided the technical reports
for management and provided the execution plan to resolve the audit concerns.

System Engineer/Database Engineer Middleware Application group

Determined the initial database configuration build to be used by the group. Utilized the
SAP database BKM information to help stabilize the database environments.
Worked with the System Analyst, System Engineers, and development team to work on
application performance benchmarks. Worked with the System Engineers to determine
performance issues to isolate areas of improvement for the virtual server configuration.

System Engineer/Technical Project Lead

2001 - 2004

Provided the primary database support for the internal application for materials forecasting.
Created the early SQL Server security models that provided more security for the application.
Created the T-SQL and batch files to be able to back up the production database and restore
the backup file to the non-production environments.
Wrote a couple of stored procedures that used in production. As the developer teams
became comfortable with my skills, I was assigned some stored procedures that became part
of the application.

application to Folsom CA, and less critical application to another Hillsboro OR data center.
Provided the OS, application and database support for several Intel internal materials
applications. Worked with the developers on the coordination of patching, and release
management for the application. Performed the other administrative functions for the
support of the application (i.e. backup, restores, etc.).
