Reporting KPIs in Retail & Distribution

17 Aug 2012 4:26 PM | Sergei Peleshuk
BI reporting in Retail and Distribution has certain specifics, which is not only related to big volumes of sales
ticket level details. High emphasis is given to Stock management, supplier relationships, vendor contract
management and vendor rebate reporting. At the same time sales, pricing, and promotion management
analysis play a key role in decision making for retail and distribution. Logistics reports with a focus on
warehouse performance indicators can also be invaluable in optimizing warehouse management and store
delivery processes.
In the post below I will describe a few reporting models and KPIs related to Stock management, P&L by
product and supplier; and Procurement/supplier relationship management. Other reporting areas related to
Retail and Distribution (Sales, Logistics, etc.) will be covered in further posts.
