MISE - EN SCENE

LOCATION
There will be more than one location in the
opening of the film. There will be shots of the
main character on a rooftop, using public
transport and walking around through busy
streets. However the opening will start off with
the protagonist sitting in their bedroom
recording themselves. By using their bedroom
in the opening, will give the audience a more
intimate connection with the character as they
will have a greater insight to who they are.

PROPS AND COSTUMES

These are the costumes used in
the featured films we are looking
into and gathering information,
which will help us in producing
our final film. By looking at the
different costumes, we found
that there is a patterned with the
colours. All the characters wear
black, blue and grey colours.
Theses colours are often
associated with depression, and
being lonely.

FACIAL EXPRESSIONS
Facial expressions plays an important
part in connecting with the audience.
The facial expressions of a character
allows the audience to feel and
understand what they are feeling and
going through. The facial expressions
that is needed in our film for the
audience to connect with, is that the
character look depressed and
antisocial.

BODY LANGUAGE
As well as the facial
expressions, body language
also plays a major part in
connecting with our audience.
The body language of the
character will show the
audience more emotions and a
deep feeling inside of them,
without saying anything. And
because during the opening of
our film, there wont be any
type of dialogue, so the body
language of our character is
really important.

COLOUR AND LIGHTING

Lighting must be manipulated by the
director to accommodate his or her
desires for the movie. By having dull and
gloomy lighting it sets the scene which
allows the audience to have a better
understanding of the atmosphere of the
character.
