Clash Magazine is an alternative music magazine published in the UK.


Their target audience is roughly people aged 15+ and the price per issue
is 3.99. The brands content varies between bands such as Florence &
The Machine and Jamie xx as well as other hip-hop artists such as Kanye
West. It focuses on fashion and music and looks upon their effect on
society, culture, film and technology. This magazine won the Best New
Magazine award in 2004 and has also won further awards in England and
Scotland. However, it is most widely known for winning Magazine Of The
Year at the 2011 Record Of The Day Awards.

Rolling Stone is an American


biweekly
magazine, which focuses on popular culture. During the 1990s the
magazine moved focus to a younger audience who were interested in
youth-oriented television shows, film actors and popular music and has a

traditional mix of content. This magazine was founded in 1967 by Jann


Wenner and Ralph Gleason and is now 6.32 per issue. Also as you can
see from the images above, they tend to advertise many different artists
such as David Bowie.

NME (New Musical Express) is a British music journalism magazine


published in 1952. During the 1970s it became the best-selling British
music newspaper. NME started as a music newspaper, but over time
gradually move towards a magazine format- changing from newsprint in
1998. Its current price is 2.20 but many want the magazine to become
accessible through using the internet.
