Stacey Mathia and Chris Levels Formally Nominated

Appealing New Gubernatorial Candidates for Michigan
The Committee to Elect Stacey Mathia is proud to announce her formal nomination for Governor
of Michigan by the Convention of the US Taxpayers Party of Michigan on June 26, 2010.
Mathia gave a heartfelt nomination speech and received firm support from the Convention. The
vote to nominate Mathia as the Gubernatorial candidate was nearly unanimous among the
USTPM Delegates at the Convention. The Convention applauded Mathia’s agenda to institute
Law-Abiding Constitutional Government and State Sovereignty in order to free the People of
Michigan from the political oppression of big government operating outside of its authority.

In a last minute move, Mathia’s former running mate, Thomas Matos, bowed out of the race and
made room for Mathia’s new running mate, Chris Levels, to be nominated by the USTPM
Convention as their Party’s candidate for Lt. Governor of Michigan. Matos delivers his best
regards to Mathia’s supporters:

“This campaign has been a whirlwind of amazing support to restore limited

government for the people of Michigan. However, due to unforeseen personal
financial circumstances, I must withdraw my bid to become Michigan's next
Lt. Governor. You can rest sure that the USTPM has elected a new Lt.
Gubernatorial candidate who will serve his office well. I wish Stacey Mathia
all the best in her fight, and I urge everyone to put their money where it is best
served, and support this campaign.”

Mathia’s new running mate, Chris Levels, is currently well known as a radio talk show host on
WSNL in the Flint, Michigan area. His last minute nomination speech will be available on
Mathia’s website. The USTPM Convention gave him a standing applause.

Of considerable note, the mainstream media has often parroted claims that individuals like
Stacey Mathia who have been heavily involved in the TEA Party movement are racist. As
Mathia’s new choice for running mate proves, nothing could be further from the truth. The
USTPM made politically powerful choices by nominating these candidates in order to “split the
votes” away from other Parties with disaffected voters who have wanted honest Law-Abiding
government and “changes” that The People have needed for so long. The USTPM is offering
appealing candidates with the right message and the right platform to win this election. Watch for
poll numbers to start reflecting their popularity as each candidate reaches out to voters across the
state.
