The Management of Post Traumatic stress Disorder


has become of serious concern to the US Military as
well as the National Guard.
The incoming Governor, Eric Holcomb has lived with
the disorder, his father having served in the European
theatre during WWII, he has first hand experience of
the devastating effects on a family. He has expressed
interest in our vision for managing this disorder locally
as has the Adjutant general Courtney P. Carr,
Below MEDCOM has presented a working proposal
for its readiness and capability to address this problem
using its MENTAL HEALTH PLATOON, comprised
of officers and enlisted soldiers who have been
recruited from various disciplines in the service of the
State of Indiana in their capacity to bring
professionalism and competence to the field.
They consist of Clergy, Social workers, Psychiatric
Nurses and Nurse Practitioners, as well as Physicians
ready and willing to serve and treat their fellow
soldiers in manage this serious threat.
