OIL PAINTING OF BABA DEEP SINGH JI

SHAHEED FOR YOUR HOME AND OFFICE

Baba Deep Singh Ji

The artist has so imaginatively captured the serenity and the
spiritualistic peace that epitomizes the saintliness of Baba Deep
Singh ji. The Oil painting seems so real as if Babaji is sitting
amongst us. The whiteness of his dress further adds to his
saintliness making this painting a final word in Sikh spiritualism.
The artist has also so creatively given depth to his eyes,
symbolizing the inner peace of the greatest saint in the Sikh history,
who is in fact, a "guru like figure" figure among the large Punjabi
population. His flowing white beard further adds a spiritualistic
touch to the oil painting, which is otherwise as masterpiece.

The khanda that sits by the side presents the other side of the
spiritual self - his readiness to protect the peace and humanity from
the butcherous invaders.

Baba Deep Singh (16821757) is revered among Sikhs as one of the

most hallowed martyrs in Sikhism and as a highly religious person.
He is remembered for his sacrifice and devotion to the teachings of
the Sikh Gurus. Baba Deep Singh was the first head of Misl
Shaheedan Tarna Dal - an order of the Khalsa military established
by Nawab Kapur Singh, the then head of Sharomani Panth Akali
Buddha Dal.
