TREATMENT OF PERONEAL NEUROPATHY BY
ACUPUNCTURE : A CASE REPORT

Foot drop is a deficit in turning the ankle to dorsiflexion due to the weakness of anterior
‘compartment muscle, The patien with drop foot may use a characteristic hiphiking, steppage gat
tip-toc walk and foot slaping down to accommodate the toe drop. To prevent tumble, the ankle-foot
orthosis are commonly used for the patient of peroneal neuropathy of cause unknown in Western
medicine, From Traditional Chinese medicine's point of vie
drop foot belongs to “leg flaccidty”
In this article, a case of drop foot received acupuncture treatment, The acupuncture points used
were $T36, GB34, Jianxia, SP6, and LR3, Among these acupuncture points, ST36 and Jianxia were
strengthened with electrostimulation, For this case, acupuncture treatment was effective.
