Reflections

1. The Earths systems are all dependent on each other. Using this theme helps us
to understand climate change as a whole. All of Earths systems depend on each on
other and if one system fails then the whole system (Earth) will collapse
(metaphorically). This can result in global warming, extinction of species, and the failing
of ecosystems and natural environments.
2. Science includes many instances of trial and error on logical hypotheses and
explanations for these occurrences. The evidence of climate change on Earth is very
compelling as it is happening right before us. As we experience harsher, more extreme
seasons such as the hottest summers on record and some of the most extreme, bitter
winters on record as well the evidence piles up. The increase of carbon levels and
pollution support the claim of global climate change. The warming of the Earth through
the years clearly shows this as well.
3. The obstacles we face and the keys to solving these obstacles that develop from
our changing climate can vary. We face many obstacles like pollution and destruction of
ecosystems yet many possible solutions to these problems arise. We can rebuild
ecosystems and create greener sources of energy to help limit our negative impact on
the Earth.
